This post is for those of you who were alive when you could finally go and by a system that would play video games. It is also for those of you who weren't born until these systems were really advanced and considered a common thing.
Lets start with a little story...
You're standing there, looking off into space(maybe picking your nose), and you hear someone start talking about some old video game you've never heard of. You go home and you look it up. You read a whole article about how this is the best game ever, you get that feeling like you just have to play this game, and then, you find out that it came out 20 years ago and you don't have the console that it came out for anyways. You drag your self into bed and you mope until 12:00 at night.
Then a magical thing happens, you find out about emulators!
You can now play any game you want that isn't being soled in stores anymore!
But I'm getting ahead of myself, you don't even know what an emulator is!
An emulator is a program, okay that's really vague. An emulator is a program the reads ROM's or ISO's. What is as ROM, What is an ISO? Well a ROM or ISO is basically the game in the form of a computer file. So know, you have the ability to play that awesome game right on you're computer. Any game you can think of from your childhood is most likely available on the Internet!
You're probably thinking "Wait, isn't this illegal?". Well, if you were to sell a ROM or ISO, yes it would be. But since nobody is selling the ROM or ISO, the company who was selling it, isn't anymore, nobody is making any money and the company is totally fine with it, it is not illegal.
But if you get in trouble for some weird reason, (I don't know if you states has some law against it or not) I'm not responsible. But please don't let this discourage you! Just use good judgement, go with your gut, and pray for legalness.
